AEG The Story • Independent Agent Opportunity

Licensing & Getting Started

A practical starting point for exploring life insurance, working toward licensure, or reviewing your next step as a licensed professional.

AEG offers an independent, commission-based insurance opportunity. Appropriate licensing and applicable carrier contracting or appointments are required before regulated activity. Compensation and individual results vary; earnings, production, appointments, and acceptance are not guaranteed. Agents may incur business expenses, including optional lead purchases. Buying leads does not guarantee results.

Getting Licensed

Begin with your resident state and the insurance authority for the work you plan to do. The regulator or its designated licensing provider can confirm education, examination, application, background-check, fee, and renewal requirements that apply to you.

You can explore AEG and prepare questions while studying. Do not solicit, negotiate, or sell insurance before the appropriate licenses and required authorizations are active. Completing education or passing an examination is not itself a license.

Already Licensed

Confirm that your licenses and lines of authority are active in the states where you intend to work. Discuss carrier appointments, existing contractual obligations, and the requirements for an independent affiliation before moving forward.

Licensing, carrier contracting, and AEG affiliation are separate steps. One does not automatically complete the others.

Start With Official Resources

For other states, select the state in NIPR and confirm requirements with that state’s insurance regulator. Requirements and provider arrangements can change. External resources are maintained by their respective organizations.

What You Can Prepare Now

Identify your state and licensing stage. Consider the time and expenses involved in establishing an independent practice. Write down questions about carrier access, compensation, chargebacks, technology, training, and optional lead purchases.

Read Before You Join AEG for a transparent overview of the business relationship. Do not send identity documents, Social Security numbers, banking information, or client records through an initial inquiry.

What May Follow

If there is a mutual decision to proceed, the next steps may include licensing and contracting, orientation, systems access, appropriate training, and a progress conversation. Timing depends on your circumstances and required approvals. An illustrative first-week and first-30-days roadmap is included in the onboarding information for agents invited to proceed.

AEG is not a regulator and does not issue licenses or guarantee approval, exam results, carrier appointments, or business results.

Questions are a good next step.

Explore the relationship, clarify the requirements, and decide whether a conversation with AEG fits your goals.
